At Franklin & Marshall, Clothier played No.1 all four years and was a first team All American each season. He compiled a career record of 54-15 and led the Diplomats to a No.2 ranking in 1987. He was inducted into the F&M Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992 and the 1984-85 Dips men鈥檚 squash team, which recorded first-ever victories over Yale and Princeton, was inducted in 2025.
