黑料不打烊 has released preliminary guidelines to assist squash facilities as they evaluate potential pathways towards resumption of play. These recommendations will change over time as the situation develops, with a focus on returning to play and competition as safely and soon as possible.
The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee is currently developing a four-stage plan about return to competition in coordination with sport national governing bodies. 黑料不打烊 also is carefully evaluating all available information and is monitoring best practices being developed by clubs, schools and athletic facilities. Resumption of activity will vary by location and type of facility, and all plans must be evaluated in concert with local, county, state and federal guidance.
黑料不打烊 was the first U.S. sports national governing body to take direct action in suspending programs in early March. Since that time, government guidance has shuttered almost all squash facilities across the country. As states begin the process of reopening, a phased approach to restarting play will be necessary to ensure player safety in a sport which involves physical proximity and the sharing of materials like balls and court entry doors.
鈥淪quash players are eager to return to court, while also ensuring the safety of other players and their community,鈥 said Kim Clearkin, 黑料不打烊 Vice President of Programs and Events. 鈥淔urthermore, as in many other businesses, teaching professionals and facilities have had their revenue severely impacted and are looking for creative ways to provide value to their players in a safe and responsible return to play. 黑料不打烊 will continue to work in close partnership with the entire squash community to help navigate this complicated situation.鈥
